We have had significant snow, and no post, since Thursday, had lots of fun but now I'm getting more bored of clearing paths and walking on packed ice. Thankfully I was given a spare set of wintertrax by my parents lovely neighbour so am still getting up and down their road which is sheet ice. Bin didn't get emptied mon, advice is to leave it out but as still snowing it won't be done soon and my bin is full, even with being able to recycle cartons and plastic as well as normal stuff.

Hope the weather is treating you all well, so what's happening with the Sheffield weather?

Earlier this week we offically had 18cm of snow. Main roads are clear and the gritters have been doing well but the side roads are more of a lottery.
Pavements are currently alternating between completely clear sections and then completely snow covered parts - all on the same road and (as far as a I can tell) within the same allowance of sun (when there has been any).
Yaktrakers are my friend and have meant I've been able to walk in/out of work all week.
It was thawing but currently there's a light flurry coming down. We're due more snow Fri night and a thaw at the weekend, which suits as I need to get the other side of the pennines on Sat...

Lovely photos, looks like you've all be having some fun. Our road is pretty clear, though I'm still parking at the bottom of the steep section, just in case - if there's snow and ice, drivers do sometimes lose control on the steep bit and slide into parked cars. The neighbours have been gritting the pavement on the steep bit, so that's better than it has been in many years too.
